Integrated medical care
Internal Medicine
Across-specialty care for patients with complex infections and broad clinical conditions.

Overview
Specialist care with clear clinical pathways.
The Department of Internal Medicine provides across-specialty care for patients with a wide spectrum of clinical conditions. Consultants have broad-based training in General Internal Medicine and one or more subspecialties.
The presence of clinicians with different subspecialty training allows an integrated approach to patient care.
We focus on clinical care for patients with infections of varying complexity, including infectious diseases in oncological, haematological, transplant, and complex surgical patients.
The department is also involved in hospital epidemiology and infection prevention, especially in the prevention and management of infections with multi-drug resistant pathogens in immunocompromised host populations.
